Pentland Floating Offshore Wind Farm in Scotland Secures Contract for Difference (CfD)

Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation (“Eurus Energy”) announced today that Eurus Energy UK Ltd., an overseas group company of Eurus Energy, has successfully secured the UK government’s seventh Contracts for Difference (CfD) Allocation Round for the Pentland Floating Offshore Wind Farm (“the Project”) planned in Scotland through its joint venture Highland Wind Limited.

The Project will be located approximately 7.5 km off the coast of Dounreay in Caithness, Highland, and will advance detailed studies toward commercialization, aiming to begin commercial operations in 2030. Upon completion, it is expected to have a maximum capacity of 100 MW and the generated power will be equivalent to the electricity consumed by approximately 70,000 households, around 65% of households in the Highland region.

Eurus Energy UK Ltd. will promote the Project through Highland Wind Limited, a joint venture with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners P/S, Hexicon A/B, the National Wealth Fund, Great British Energy, and the Scottish National Investment Bank.

Through the Project, Eurus Energy group will accumulate know-how and technologies in the floating offshore wind power generation business, which will be actively utilized in the offshore wind power generation business both in Japan and overseas.
